$85 for household appliances and $120 for HVAC. The technician finds the cause and gives you a flat price before any work starts. In 70–80% of cases the breakdown is minor and the repair costs about $180–$280.
Is my appliance worth repairing, or should I buy a new one?
After the diagnostic you get a flat price for the repair, so you can compare it with the cost of a new appliance before you decide. If you decide not to go ahead, you pay only for the service call.
